How Bakwi-gonu works
- Each player starts with 4 pieces clustered at their own corner of a 4x4-point board.
- On a normal turn, move one piece a single step along a line.
- The four corners are "wheels" — a piece standing on one may instead spin and slide any distance in a straight line.
- A wheel slide that runs into an enemy piece captures it and stops there. That's the only way to capture in this game — a plain step never does.
- Win by reducing your opponent to one piece, or leaving them with no legal move.
- If 30 moves in a row (both sides counted) pass with no capture, the side with more pieces left wins (equal pieces is a draw).
The best-documented new addition
Unlike several other variants added alongside it, Bakwi-gonu's rules are confirmed by two independent sources — the wheel-slide capture is the real, documented mechanic, not a guess.
